UPDATE: March 24, 2020

Dear Loyal Family Veterinary Hospital Pet Parents:

Yes, we are open!

We want to reassure our valued clients that we are an essential service and we remain open to assist you with your pet's health. However, we are prioritizing our available appointments for injured or sick patients based on recommendations from government officials through April 9, 2020. We have temporarily suspended and are rescheduling annual exams and wellness visits, as well as non-essential surgeries. This does not apply for urgent or emergent surgeries or to puppies and kittens who need their initial exams and vaccines. Technician appointments will also be scheduled based on priority for essential procedures. At this time, we are deferring technician appointments for adult vaccine boosters and grooming procedures like nail trims and anal gland expressions until after the restrictions are lifted by the governor.

With that said, we do support social distancing as we want to keep all of our clients and employees safe. To help facilitate this we have implanted several measures:

Concierge/Curbside Service: When an in-clinic visit is warranted, we will meet you outside to escort your pet into the clinic for their appointment. The doctor will examine your pet and will consult with you over the phone regarding their findings and recommendations. At the end of the exam we will return your pet back to you outside.

Telemedicine Appointments: We are working on implementing telehealth service for the health conditions that may be handled by phone consultation. Please note that you and your pet must be an established client and patient with Loyal Family Vet to use this service and not all conditions can be addressed via telehealth services. Please ask our receptionist about this to see if it is right for you.

Medications and Food: You can still use our curbside service if you need to need to pick up medications, food, or supplies. We ask that you call ahead so we can make sure we have everything ready for when you arrive. Furthermore, once you arrive we will collect payment over the phone and deliver your item(s) to your car.

For your convenience, most pet medications and food can also be ordered through our Covetrus Online Pharmacy and be shipped directly to your door. This website ensures the safety and quality of the products they sell and distribute. Please know, these changes are temporary and will be in effect through April 9, 2020 but we will keep you updated if the governor extends that date further. Thank you for your understanding during these times.
